At decarbXpo, Stadtwerke Düsseldorf will present the concept of the EUREF Campus at Stand C30 in Hall 9: an area of over 80,000 square meters where companies, start-ups and institutions that promote climate protection in the energy and transport sectors are to settle. The "Showroom of the Energy Transition" has been under construction since last year and is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2025. The entire campus will be supplied with climate-neutral energy for electricity, heating and cooling right from the start. For this, the municipal utilities (Stadtwerke Düsseldorf), who will rent space themselves, have developed an integrated energy concept. The core of the district heating supply is an innovative seawater concept for heating and cooling. A low-temperature heat pump will use heat from the nearby Lichtenbroich quarry pond as a regenerative heat source to meet most of the campus's heating needs. Photovoltaic systems will generate electricity, and electric vehicle batteries can be charged at Stadtwerke charging stations. Stadtwerke Düsseldorf will also present its full range of charging infrastructure services at decarbXpo. From infrastructure, including civil engineering and connections, to the supply of charging stations, wallboxes and e-bike charging stations as well as charging station and fleet management, as well as service: this is how the energy supplier makes electromobility easier for companies.
