decarbXpo boosts startup network through cooperation with Düsseldorf Economic Development Corporation and Plug and Play

Innovations for a climate-friendly industry are the focus of the decarbXpo trade fair for industrial decarbonization and energy storage. The Plug and Play Sustainability NRW platform, the 5th German location of the global innovation platform Plug and Play, will present global and regional top startups from the fields of decarbonization, energy storage and hydrogen at the trade fair as part of a cooperation with decarbXpo.

Exhibitors at decarbXpo will showcase products and services that help industrial companies find the best path to climate neutrality for them. The core competence of Plug and Play Sustainability NRW is matchmaking between large companies and start-ups. The Economic Development Agency of the state capital Düsseldorf is sponsoring the platform's premiere appearance.

"The state capital of Düsseldorf wants to be climate-neutral by 2035 and concluded a climate pact with the local business community last October. As an international and innovative business location with a network of industrial companies, scientific institutions and the excellent infrastructure for attracting start-ups, Düsseldorf can provide important impetus for reducing CO2 emissions in the economy," says Lord Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller.

From its global network of 50 locations, Plug and Play selects startups that pursue particularly promising approaches with their innovations. Plug and Play puts these through their paces and then helps the best candidates build their business model.

For decarbXpo, Plug and Play is now making this capability available. The selected startups have developed versatile methods that industrial companies can use to reduce their climate gas emissions. The following innovations will be presented, among others:
