Messe Düsseldorf will be organising decarbXpo 2023, Expo for decarbonised industries, at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 28 – 30 November. At the decarbXpo trade fair industry and commerce will encounter decarbonisation experts who will introduce new technologies, products and consulting services. As a networking platform focused on decarbonisation, decarbXpo addresses all energy-intensive industries and trades that wish and have to do their part to achieve the climate targets of the EU member states – reducing EU CO2 emissions by 55% compared to 1990 by 2030. On display will be solutions addressing issues such as supply security, climate protection as well as lower energy costs.
VDMA Power-to-X for Applications will again be involved as the conceptual partner and a strong partner of decarbXpo and will in future develop additional content jointly with Messe Düsseldorf. Looking forward to the continued cooperation and joint further development of the format with anticipation, Peter Müller-Baum, Managing Director of VDMA Power-to-X for Applications, said: “We are delighted to act as the conceptual partner and to jointly drive forward the topics of de-fossilisation, Power-to-X and hydrogen.”
decarbXpo will offer a high-quality conference and forum programme on the topics of research, science and industry, which is geared to both manufacturers and potential users: exciting and high-calibre lectures revolving around the topics of Decarbonisation – Green Energy, Resources and the Circular Economy.
The ecoMetals Day, IRES Conference and the Start-up Area became established features of the previous decarbXpo and will also be staged again in 2023.
“decarbXpo will also be ‘the place to be’ for steel and metallurgy industries in terms of Green Steel, Green Metals and the Circular Economy in 2023, because the ecoMetals Day with its ‘Pioneers of Sustainability’ concept will again provide a unique cross-industry and multi-disciplinary 360° overview,” rejoices Jürgen Franke, General Manager of Vulkan Verlag. This publishing house will organise the ecoMetals Day, the international expert conference on the green transformation of the steel and metals sectors in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf. IRES Conference 2023 - EUROSOLAR, the European Renewable Energy Association, will present the very latest developments and results from research and science, as well as their social, political, financial and legal frameworks over three days at its 17th IRES Conference - International Renewable Energy Storage and Systems. 'Sustainability and resilience are the top values in our economy today: this requires powerful, independent and distributed renewable energy systems. And these are unthinkable without energy storage - electrical, thermal, chemical, mechanical - scientific presentations about these, Power2X, sector coupling and much more can all be found at the most important scientific conference of its kind - the IRES.” comments EUROSOLAR President Professor Peter Droege.

And vice versa: industry and commerce will benefit from the strong innovative power emanating from these start-ups.
