Austria: First public hydrogen plant launched

Austria's first public production plant for green hydrogen has opened in Gabersdorf in southern Styria, according to the company. It will supply local industry, including Sandvik subsidiary Wolfram Bergau und Hütten AG. The manufacturer of the PEM electrolyzer at the center of the plant is H-Tec Systems of Augsburg, Germany.

The company has invested around 21.5 million euros in an inductive single-bar annealing system (EVA), which will be installed in two stages.
