Energy Storage Europe 2016 to be listed as leading trade fair

Energy Storage Europe will be listed as a leading international trade fair for energy storage by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) for the first time in 2016. This listing will give young, innovative companies the opportunity to have up to 70% of their trade fair costs reimbursed through a BMWi development fund. With many international exhibitors and visitors as well as certification through the Voluntary Control of Fair and Exhibition Statistics (FKM) the trade fair fills several requirements of the ministry.

Urban Windelen, managing director of the German Energy Storage Association notes: “With its decision the federal ministry highlights the significance of the event. Energy Storage Europe in Düsseldorf is truly the leading trade fair of the energy storage branch. Another positive is that through this official listing new and innovative companies can be promoted thereby supporting the development of this highly dynamic and innovative market.” Adding to that is Hans Werner Reinhard, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, “these development funds are aimed at startups in the energy storage branch. These companies have innovative ideas but limited financial resources. Thanks to the generous development funds, they now have the opportunity to present themselves at Energy Storage.”
