ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE (ESE) is expanding its industrial and commercial focus and has now agreed on the fifth trade fair cooperation: glasstec, the world's leading trade fair for the glass industry, is now a new partner of ESE. For our exhibitors this means: even more business contacts.

World’s No. 1 Trade Fair for the Glass Industry and ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE to cooperate

The new partnership complements ESE's existing cooperation with the metal and plastics industry as well as with the retail and viticulture sectors. Within the scope of these cooperations, we will inform industrial and commercial users about energy storage systems and actively invite them to ESE. This way, Messe Düsseldorf is networking energy storage manufacturers with users, thus giving new impetus to industrial and commercial decarbonisation.

"The partner trade fairs of ESE alone have recorded over 9.000 exhibitors and more than 300.000 visitors. We will inform them about energy storage applications via selected information channels of Messe Düsseldorf. This gives ESE exhibitors, energy storage providers and energy efficiency experts access to exciting new customer groups," explains Dr. Andreas Moerke, Executive Team Manager of ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE.

Interview with Glass Technology Expert Bernhard Fleischmann

Dipl.-Ing. Bernhard Fleischmann is the head of the Glass Technology Department of the HVG, an umbrella association of glass manufacturers and suppliers in Germany. For over 30 years, he has been involved in pre-competitive research predominately concerning energy consumption in glass manufacturing, including investigations into heat recovery and CO2 emissions. As part of Germany’s Kopernikus projects initiative, he has co-authored the study “Flexibilitätsoptionen in der Grundstoffindustrie II” (Flexibility options within basic industry II), which seeks to investigate the potential offered by using thermal storage systems and electricity generated from renewable sources in the glass industry.
