Covid-19: ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE not running in 2021
On account of the continued high infection rates all over Europe, and with the decision by the federal and state governments on 25 November 2020, according to which holding trade fairs continues to be prohibited, we have to inform you today that we have to call off the ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE scheduled for March 2021 in Düsseldorf. Messe Düsseldorf will credit exhibitors with invoices issued. For details, please refer to the FAQs below.

Will exhibitors’ registrations be cancelled automatically?
All applications for participation in ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE addressed to Messe Düsseldorf direct will be cancelled.
Will exhibitors be refunded any payments already made?
Messe Düsseldorf will credit exhibitors for the amounts charged on all the invoices issued by Messe Düsseldorf (for stand packages, stand area, co-exhibitor fee, flat-rate media fee, AUMA fee). Please understand that processing refunds will take some time also due to short-time work.
We are unable to provide information on contracts between customers and third-party providers, as these have not been entered into with Messe Düsseldorf.

When can refunds be expected?
All parties work on the fastest solution possible. Due to the imminent holidays and the great number of enquiries we expect processing to be completed in Q1 of 2021.
Will you reimburse your customers for any costs incurred so far, as a result of booked air and rail tickets, hotel accommodation etc.
We understand the difficult situation resulting from cancellations of this kind. Please contact the respective providers to address pending issues and find solutions. We are unable to provide any information on contracts concluded by customers with third-party suppliers since these were not concluded with Messe Düsseldorf.
Do the OOS services booked with Messe Düsseldorf have to be cancelled? How?
No, all the contracts related to ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE that have been concluded with Messe Düsseldorf are cancelled. For all services booked via our Online Order System - OOS separate cancellation messages will be sent. Contracts with third parties, even though they have been concluded via the Online Order System provided by Messe Düsseldorf, have to be cancelled and/or terminated separately. You can submit a corresponding cancellation enquiry to the third-party contract partners via the OOS.
How about the OOS services booked with official trade fair service partners?
We are unable to provide information on contracts between customers and third-party providers, as these have not been entered into with Messe Düsseldorf.
What about the conference and visitor tickets already purchased?
Ticket fees will be refunded. Please e-mail requests for refunds stating the ticket number(s) by no later than 18 March 2021 to: ticket@messe-duesseldorf.de.
When will the new dates for ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE be announced?
The next event will be held in line with the usual frequency in spring 2022. The exact dates will be decided by Messe Düsseldorf after consultation with conceptual sponsoring associations and other partners early next year. We will inform you about the start of registrations in a separate mail.
What digital alternatives will you be offering for 2021?
We are developing presentation options for exhibitors by way of websessions and will ensure comprehensive exposure for ESE through social media channels.
